Default Expected Tire Mileage On 09's New Tires?

Anyone here with enough miles on a 09 to make an educated guess what the useful tire life will be? I know Harley and Dunlop are touting their dual compound technology but a few years ago Bridgestone was too. I replaced a set of BT50's which lasted 5K with their new dual compound (I think the number was BT54) tires which promised "extended mileage". They lasted 5K also.
I realize tire mileage varies widely from rider to rider for a whole host of reasons. Maybe someone who has changed from an earlier Glide, to an 09 could say if they predict less, about the same, or more, mileage with the new tires?

I only have about 1200 miles on my '09 Ultra (had it for 10 days) but when I was buying it the dealer said I should get around 8-9000 miles out of them. That doesn't seem very good to me but we will see!

I think that would be great to get that out of those tires, but I doubt it.

The new tires on the '09 touring bikes sure reminds me alot of my Corvette tires...Low Profiling thread which could result in short tire lifespan depending on the driver and his/her riding characteristics. My mechanic says 8-12K miles so I'll see what happens.

I just turned 5K on my 09 Ultra and the tread looks good on both front and back.
