I have been wanting to do this for awhile. Helped a buddy do his a couple years ago and it was pretty straight forward. They want closer to $150 around here but still a fraction of want Harley gets.

That's good to know. I'm doing mine this winter. Actually, I'm starting it this weekend, as a matter-of-fact. While I'm at it, I'm completely chroming all my handlebar controls since I have to take the clutch cable off (great excuse, eh?) anyways.

I bought an inner fairing of Ebay and it's at the painter now.
I'll take some pics when I do the change over.
I'm on the fence about switching to Dakota Digital gauges though.
I saw an article about brushed steel gauge faces from Matrix Bike Works in American Bagger
magazine this month. These might be an option too, I emailed and called them but they haven't answered yet. Does anyone know about these gauge faces?

I replaced my inner fairing with a painted one when I had a warranty issue. They had to repair a frt fork leak. They also replaced the lowers and uppers with powdered frt end parts. My gain......

Great job.

Where do we ship ours? That's an unbelieveable price, he had to of had the paint, see if he would be interested in doing more. Mine is 07 Fire Red Pearl / Black Pearl and like the way the two tone one is in that thread.

I have my inner fairing back and it looks great.
I decided to keep the stock gauges and upgrade the stereo instead, went with Firecap's set up.
I'm hoping to do the swap next week, weather permitting, garage is not heated.

I pulled my inner fairing yesterday. I had painted it last year by a buddy, but there were some imperfections that were just driving me crazy. So I pulled it again to have it repainted. Took me about 2 hours by myself, taking my time. I looks a lot worse than it is, especially when you finally pull it clear from the bike and see that giant mess of wires just hanging there! But it's winter and cold here, so working on my bike is the "next best thing" to riding.
