Please forgive me...I'm a Kawi sportbike guy...lol. But, my old man has an '06 Electraglide Standard.

He has been talking about getting some gauges for it. I'd like to get some for Christmas but have no idea where to start.

What is stock on the Electraglide Standard for gauges?

I see some full kits on Ebay. Are they plug n play? Or, do I also have to worry about sensors, fittings, wiring harnesses, etc, etc?

Where could I look for aftermarket products?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I believe all yuo get w/ a standard are the fuel and voltage gauges. You would need to add the crappy, worthless air temp gauge and the oil pressure gauge. You can substitute the worthless, pos, crappy air temp gauge with an oil temp gauge. But, it costs about 4 hours labor to install the sucker.

 

First, don't apologize for being a "Kawi sport guy" you ride on two wheels AND you're looking at making your dad happy with Harley parts; can I adopt you. The finest gauges I've found are by Dakota Digital. I understand they are plug and play...but they are pricey. Despite the price, that will be my next upgrade for my EGC.

The pressure gauge is accurate , but the air temp gauge is only accurate when the sky is overcast.
Not a bad setup to complete the dash , it's all plug and play , the wiring and sensors are already there.
Not a bad Christmas idea at all.

a nice kit for the flht is h/d #74458-00a..i am getting it for my 08 flht. has the four small guages in silver face and later he could update tach and speedo to silver also if he wants
zanottis lists for 120.00 and the sender /instal kit is like 40.00 # 74459-00
