They worked on my 2009 Street Glide seat and were only able to lower me 1/2" on it. I would assume there is more foam on Ultra and Road Glide seats so they can drop you about 1" on those. Allen is right - new seat pans won't drop as much as 2007's or earlier. I'm not sure why but the Harley reach seat lowered me 1" so it worked better for me than the mod done by MCC on the stock. MCC did all they could do using the stock seat pan.

I believe the Sundowner has had similar lowering compared to Reach but doesn't sit you as close to the bars.

I have ordered a custom made Corbin hoping for an even more narrow nose/base.

MCC are great guys and do great work but Harley didn't give them much to work with on the 2009 seats.

I sat on several 09 Ultras with the stock seat, including the one that I bought. I could touch the floor with my toes while sitting or get flatfooted by standing. I put the Sundowner Deep Bucket on the bike before leaving the dealer, and I was comfortably flatfooted sitting. It probably made about a one inch difference in seat height. And I like the Sundowner enough that I doubt I'll do anything more to it.
HH, Did it move you back any or did you feel in the same position as the stock seat. I guess I could check the dealer and see if they may have a Sundowner in stock and try it! Huh?
