Smile Posting of scanned Install instructions

Any chance those of you that bought and installed the various Harley accessories could scan the included instructions and post them.

Perhaps we could make this a sticky note.

That way if somone is considering an upgrade they could first look over the instructions to see how much work, and the level of skill required to do the install.

Just a thought...

It's been done on other sites. Harley objected and applied sufficient pressure to have them taken down. Your dealer can print them out for you if there's something you need.

Frankly, once the install is done, I'm so pissed that they go into the garbage where they belong. Lots of scrapped knuckles and blue air because most of the instructions are misleading and usually have missed steps, or are the long way around.

Agree - I think they give the installation writing job to a newbie - who has never even installed what he/she is writing about.

I write communication installation instructions for the Marine Corps combat vehicles and I agree, H-D needs a serious makeover of their tech writing and illustration section.

I don't know why the Motor Company doesn't make instructions available on their website like Kury does. Or why they object when independent sites do. It only serves to promote their products. It is unlike a copyright issue with music or a book. Its not like, well I downloaded the instructions so I don't have to buy the product.
