Default Heavy Breather Intake Seeps Oil

Hello again,

Recently installed the Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather on my 08 Road Glide. Followed the instructions etc....When they were installing the kit at the tuning shop they took the original bolts that attach the housing to the motor and drilled them to acheive the requirement laid out in the instructions of using bolts that are drilled to allow oil to bypass and go into the cylinders to be burnt....Not sure how it goes the intake comes with drilled bolts or you use the existing bolts that are drilled at the factory...at any rate all was well but recently noticed oil seeping out of the two "Chrome Plugs" that cover said bolts.....we have replaced the O rings ( at the dealership after taking it in to get it looked at ) but now it seeps again usually when I am running it hard......

Could the guys have screwed up and drilled the holes to small or too big.....why would they have not used the bolts supplied or the originals? I had the bike dropped off for this work and was not in the shop hence my clueless rambling as to what went on.. Any ideas??

Thanks!

Default regarding seeping oil from breather

I have the same screamin eagle breather and mine done the same thing. Heres an easy fix. Take the two chrome plugs out a run a bead of silcone around them. Put them back in and walla! no more oil drip. Ive done this to mine and its never leaked another drop.

Or do a search for my post entitled "heavy breather users" and see the service bulletin and fix for it that I posted here.
