Two position Tour Pack?

If you look at Soos picture above you'll notice that his "U" bar is incorrectly attached to the tour pack. It should be in the cradle. (See image below.)
The "U" bar attaches to the TP at the back of the "U" and has four (4) other screws that go through the TP, "U" bar, round to flat spacers and the chrome detachable rack. The stock detachable has holes to move 1 or 2 inches. The Kuryakyn kit allows another 2 inches. AT least that is how it works for 05-07 Touring bikes.

+1the salesman who sold me my 09 Ultra three years ago knew about it
Doesn't matter if it's detach or not, there are additional holes in the mounting system to unbolt and move it. I believe it comes in the most forward position. It is not something that can be done on the fly, it requires unbolting and reattaching. If that doesn't give you what you want, I highly recommend the George Anderson Tour Pak relocation kit, search on the forum, you will find it.

The 08s have 2 positions but when I looked at a friends new 09 Ultra I thought it had 3. Look at the bottom of the TP and it should be obvious. As mentioned before it is not a on the fly change it has to be unbolted and moved. As to why
A plus size passenger would probably require a little more room back there especially if when using a rider backrest.

Common sense answer. Get down on your knees and look at the bottom. Right after looking at the date on this thread.

I like that one, how is it on the solo ride with the tourpack as your backrest? Got a link where I can get one? Do you have to install a solo seat, or does it slide over the existing 2-up seat?
