Good poop, much appreciated. It's these kind of posts that make this forum what it is. GREAT! Thanks a lot.

Thanks, im confused some more. The schematic I have for the non-ultra overlay harness (70169-06) shows a 8 pin housing for the passenger headset. To that, it shows anyway, that you need to connect the passenger headset harness (76454-06) which is included in the advanced audio intercom kit 76440-06 that I mentioned. Anyway that harness shows plugging into the 8 pin housing and ending in the "barrell" type end that is needed to plug into the headset.

At any rate, I am just going to order the factory Ultra Overlay harness, 70160-08A, which has everything already built in. It the same harness that Ultras come with from the factory.

Thanks again for your help. What a great projet.

Do you already have the passenger headset provision?

Im also confused with the cb antenna kit 76400-09, which is for an 09 bike but you said you have an 07? Not sure why you did that is all. Is there some advantage?

RG 09 is correct. I mistakenly left off part number 76440-06 in my write up which is the intercom kit that consist of only the cable that runs to the passenger intercom plug in. I have now edited the original post and added it to the list. Sorry for the confusion.

Great Info. I have an O7 Glide and am getting all parts together to set up the CB system. I was told that this link is for flashing the Radio System for the CB, Intercom, XM and so forth. Hope it helps.

My 07 RG looks pretty much like yours. I love it! I put the detachable hardware on thinking that I'd only have the trunk on when I took trips. Well it is so convenient to have it on I never took it off. So if anyone else is thinking about this setup the fixed mount is probably the better way to go. This winter I’m adding the Kuryakyn kit that pushes the tour pak back another 2 inches. I added a Mustang seat this summer and that 2 inches will make a big difference.

Also thanks for the link to the flash info. For some reason I thought the dealer had to do it. I’ll check my software version and and see if there is an upgrade.

Thanks! Again, nice job!

Wanted to say thanks for all the replies and clarify the above quote. After talking with a Harley Tech, we concluded that the above download is only an audio upgrade to the am/fm radio and not the flashing required to recognize the intercom system. I appreciate all of the input. I will be taking the bike to my local HD dealer in the next few weeks to have this done and will post the outcome in the first post of this thread.

Thanks again
