Check your HD Service Manual's wiring diagram, but each turn signal probably has a blue wire for the run light circuit.

If it helps to discourage you from doing this change, a friend of mine is conducting a study for NHTSA and his preliminary findings are that 78.8 % of hot chicks surveyed actually prefer SG's with the run light operational, while 80.1% of the coyote ugly females prefer the SG w/o the turn signals operational. Also, 90.1 % of the hot chicks surveyed said they always check to see if the run lights are operational and won't ride on an SG unless the run lights work.

IIRC, the "real" studies show that about 50% or more of the cars that cause motorcycle crashes involve drivers who say they "never saw the motorcycle" so why would you want to make your bike more difficult to see by disabling the run lights?

WTF, Why would you want to do such a stupid thing. This question is right up there with the top 5 dumbest questions. Sell your bike and buy a bicycle and stop worrying about visibility

What they said. Not to mention that it would also be illegal to not have them or turn them off in just about every state of the union! It is a federal requirement to have them!

They may be able to see the headlight, but at night the marker lights will help them determine that it is a motorcycle rather than a car with one headlight. Bad idea in my opinion, but to each their own. When I had my 80 low rider I had all the turn signals removed for that cool look you are looking for but I am older and hopefully wiser now.

Remember guys, there are older riders and there are stupid riders but there are no old stupid riders.
