RE: How many RK owners have switched to Heritage handlebars?
I remember back in '95 or when the Road King first came out..I was at Sturgis waiting in Line to ride the Road King..The handle Bars were the first thing I notice, had to be change...It was not to long after that Harley-Davidson came out as an accessory, was a different bar.... Now, when I was looking again at the 06 ' king, the handle bars was still an issue...I went with the touring handle bars...No complants....

My wife's 05 flhrsi came w/beach bars and we switched them out to DYNA WIDE GLIDE BARS. part#56079-93T
They are a 10.75" apehanger, but the are not that high. She is 5"10" and the bars are slightly below her shoulders. The beach bars were large, so there was plently of cable length. The brake line needed to be bent a little.

Here is a link to a discussion on the reduced reach bars. My post has a picture of mine.

I'm 5'7" and like them much better. I still wish they were an inch closer though.

I switched to the Heritage bars on my Road King last week and put about 600 miles on them when I went to Havasu. What a difference. I love them. Easy to install, no cable changes, and just around 41 bucks from Zanottis. Heritage Bars and the Tall Boy seat gets my vote. I'm 6'3"215lbs.
