Question Cleaning the Black on the Jugs

Used a "waterless" spray cleaner on the bike and got some over-spray on the jugs forming white "spray" spots on the flat black. Tried to clean it with soap & water, WD-40, etc...no luck. Anybody got any ideas?

S100 makes some great products. I especially like the polishing soap and engine brightener. Check out their stuff here:

Try Simple Green. Spray on cool engine let it stand for maybe five minutes or so, then rinse off, or maybe scrub with soft brush then rinse.

Tried a tooth brush, rag, and anything else "soft." The white spots really look like crap and I just wondering if anybody else had come across something that might work. I had read somewhere that WD-40 would "bring back" the original color on the jugs. So far no luck.

Simple green...I'll give it a try! If that doesn't do it, I'll go with the S-100 Engine Brightner. Thx

First off DO NOT get any S-100 polishing soap on your black as it will stain, great product for cleaning chrome just be carefull.

I swore by the S-100 engine brightner for yrs, until my detailing buddy showed me Pig Spit
works great on the black, heat engine up and spray on .....

Watched him do a bike yesterday, a 02 Fl looked like brand new......

I too use the simple green and a soft brush (a good brushing don't be shy) a good rinse and the stuff comes right off
My '06 glide 15k lives outside mostly uncovered all year looks as good as most new bikes just got to keep it clean.

I used the S-100 engine brightner on my wide glide engine. It was just dull looking. Worked great on it.
