Our dealership mails one out to every customer in the database on "active" status for free. If someone comes in and wants one, as long as they are purchasing product in our store, they will get one. But yes, they do show a retail price of $5 or you can simply go on line and download them and save yourself the money.

As far as who else I might try, I like Big Dog. And yes they have had problems but from my friends who own them, much less problems then the friends who own Harleys. And hell, it's a chopper! I've been loyal, why can't they do the same?

And yes all required services done by the dealerships. I wash it, I check the tires, I fill it with gas, I let them do the rest. I must, the warranty requires it. My ride has all harley accessories, no aftermarket what so ever. Always will.

It seems to me that Harley Davidson is doing nothing but getting on the airline band wagon, charging you for 'everything' that they could possibly get out of you. This is why I've talked to and know so many Harley riders who are becoming more and more disgusted with HD to the point of where they are riding their last Harley motorcycle. I am too. When does it end?

Besides buying one of their bikes which is fine...you pay the money and get a great bike (over priced)...HD fans support HD by giving the tons of money for stuff they don't even make. You see these HD fans every day, wrapped from head to toe in everything Harley. HD makes motorcycles. They don't make soap, after shave, sun glasses, boots, underware, belts... So if you are willing to support HD by giving them your money for all this stuff, what's another $5 for a book?
