I got my '08 catalog free (by spending 20+ thousand!) when I took delivery of the new bike. When I stopped in to get a battery tender, they gave me the new '09 catalog at no charge.

Never paid for one. I usually get one in the mail and the parts guys I know usually give me one as well. One for the "office" and one for the garage.

I've never been charged for one, even the newest one.
Well, this isn't the first WTF I've heard about a Rossmeyer's dealer....and it won't be the last I'm sure.

Funny you say that. I was just thinking I have read lots of negative about them. Nothing good at all.

J&P and Dennis Kirk are free for the asking. Either email them or call the toll free phone numbers. Prices are less, products are at least equal or better quality, more choices...when you call your order in they actually CARE about you as a customer.

Do you go to your local auto dealership for oil and filters too? just asking.

I appreciate the offers. I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining. It's just literally evertime I "need" my local stealership, they constantly let me and my friends/family down. The service departments are totally unreliable. They is always some sort of issue/problem that comes up. There are 4 in my area. The dealer I bought my ride from has been pretty good so far but they are 1 1/2 hours away one way, and I've only been there 4 times. As far as the catalog, I could go out of my way and go to the dealer I bought it from or way out of my town but I shouldn't have to. I don't see on the Harley web site where you can get one by mail. Hell $5.00, they will make that back 1000 fold in the parts I will eventually buy. My friends and I are just tired of Harley treating us like second class citizens. As far as who else I might try, I like Big Dog. And yes they have had problems but from my friends who own them, much less problems then the friends who own Harleys. And hell, it's a chopper! I've been loyal, why can't they do the same?

And yes all required services done by the dealerships. I wash it, I check the tires, I fill it with gas, I let them do the rest. I must, the warranty requires it. My ride has all harley accessories, no aftermarket what so ever. Always will.

I paid in excess of $25,000 for my UC and other HD stuff and you think I got a cataloge? Nope, but my local indy gave me one for free. If I need anything with the name HD on it, I'm buying it through him, not the dealership. I wonder how they got the monicker of stealership?
