slipon exhaust 09 touring

i think unless you have a dealer or someone at the dealer who can be honest with you, the dealer is probably going to try and sell whatever it can. I have heard it depends on the baffle size if you need a fuel mangement system or not. I have no idea what the truth is but i would believe the guy who is a motorcycle tech from a couple post back.

The ECU can automatically compensate for the Stage 1 AC and SE Slipons (64985-07A). However, without the stage 1 flash for the ECU, you won't get the max power until you have the dealer do the stage 1 flash.
I did this to my RG and it did improve the power and torque.
I have had bikes with fuel processors before but I saw no need for it this time on my 08.
Good advice here on the forum. You have choices to make.
If you want to save some money, get the SE Mufflers, tailcaps and stage 1 air cleaner from Zanottis or Chicago HD (20% off but watch the shipping). Install the AC and mufflers yourself (use new clamps!!!), then have the dealer do the stage 1 flash (100+ bucks). The 64985-07A slip-ons have the HD Factory EPA stamp on the bottom for noise emissions that will keep you from getting a noise ticket.
I think you will be happy. My bike runs and sounds great.
My 2 cents...
