IMHO I don't see how the '09's are an improvement on the '08's. If the '09's were identical to the '08's I would of bought the '09, but the changes made are a downgrade imo. But hey, kudos to anyone on a bike as far as I am concerned.

IMHO the 09's are improved. Phat rear tire , stiffer frame, less cluttered rear end, better looking exhaust, etc, etc. I've sat on mine for over a thousand miles now and am still pleasantly surprised. Heat to the right leg? I've yet to feel it. Overweight? Um, yeah, wow 40lbs! Trade a stiffer frame for a 40lb weight gain? Sign me up!

 

Maybe they have riden both and like the 08 better.?.?

 

Yes that's possible and that's great, if you prefer a pre 09 then go for it!
Enjoy it and be proud of it! Tell everybody what you love about it and why.
Just leave out the "mine's better than your's crap".

What we (09 owners) are seeing over and over and over and.............is pre-09 owners bashing 09's. It's just gettin old and sounds like hating.

 

I haven't noticed it (Bashing 09's) and I haven't riden a 09 so I can't say which rides better. My thought is anyone on a Harley has a great ride!!!
