How many Warped rotors on 08's?
#13
Mine warped on the front but I have aftermarket wheels and rotors. The reason mine warped was because the brembo brakes calipers have four little "feet" like nubs that ride right up against the rotor. After I changed wheels those nubs were touching the rotors and got the rotors so hot it warped them. If you take a light and look at the rotor you can see those nubs and see how close they are. Maybe some OE rotor are rubbing too and getting too hot. It's something you might look at.

Ahh, there's your answer, HD floaters are NOT true floaters, they are only semi-floating. On True full floating rotors you can grab the friction ring and it willmove extremely easy in all directions. The HD rotors can not be moved side to side, and only minutely fore and aft. The buttons that hold the friction ring and the carrier together are in constant contact and this will transfer the heat easily from friction ring to carrier.

Just interested. Thanks,

I had the semi floating rotors installed before picking my Roadie when I bought it new. I changed my pads at 13,500 to" EBC double h pads. # FA409HH " two weeks ago. Rode to Maggie Valley and back. I will say now the pads have seated they have more stopping power then the stocks pads.
There has been no warping of the rotors and the original pads were a little more then half worn when I replaced them.
I use my front brakes only 90% of the time
