Default Any Road Glide solo Tour Pac Pics

I have decided to go with the solo mount chopped tour-pac on my road glide. I know that I have seen that configuration at some point and time, but I have been unable to find the example I have seen here. Can anyone provide a picture or have a suggestion for which seat might be recommended for this type set up.

I like having the back seat open and just added the riders backrest. I use the backseat to hold a backseat bag for long trips. A lot easier to unclip that bag and carry it into the hotel then diving into the saddlebags for clothes

The only seat that probably poses a problem because of interference between the solo seat back and the solo rack is the Corbin Classic Solo--IIRC, the Corbin website says this seat WON'T work with the HD solo rack.

I have used the HD RK Standard (FLHR) solo seat for 3+ years/50K miles and have been happy with it. They're cheap and show-up on Ebay regularly.

I don't use a rider backrest, which is good for me since none of the HD solo seats (pre-09) accept a rider backrest.

If you want a rider backrest on a solo seat with the HD solo detachable rack, there is an issue with clearance between the backrest and the tour pak. One HDF'er solved the clearance problem by moving the TP farther back on the rack, though I don't recall how he did it (i.e. drill more holes, TP relocator kit, etc.)

Good luck with your project.

I'm adding a solo rack King Tour Pack to my 2015 Road Glide. It requires a solo seat. There is not enough clearance below the rack for anything that would pass for a passenger pillion. The solo rack mounts on the shock top for the forward point and the forward most post on the HD mounting bracket. The rear post stays vacant.

Default Sargent solo

I would highly recommend looking at Sargent. They have a standard and an extended reach solo. Also an awesome backrest that is current on touring seat and soon to be adapted to the solo, but not quite ready. Quite happy with the comfort as well. Customer service is top notch....and 30 day return policy.

Can you post a link to this seat or the part number? I really like this and I think it would be great on my Electra.

Here is the link......

I have a 32" inseam and 12" KST Vanguard Pioneer's. The extended reach seat worked best for me.
