Default 103 stage 2 Driven home today

Well, i picked up my bike tonight after getting the 103 stage two done,, havent got on it and it was just the drive home...breaking it in,, but she sure felt like she had a lot more torq and sounded different. If i sugested it,, id have to say do the 103 stage 2 over just the 103 kit. Definitely do heads or port work. and dont expect to see wheelies from the 103 stage 2. just my 2 cents... but if your power hungry.. go with the 110 cams and heads..lol Im happy with the 103 stage 2 and i still feel i have the reliability.

I can pull the front wheel up no problem with my 08. It has SERT, S/E AC, 211 cams and Supertrapp 2:1 Supermeggs. Still 96 inch. 91 HP and 93 TQ.

congrats on the build and don't worry about the wheelies, that's for kids and the young at heart.

I did the 103" stg II in my '09 flhx with bub 7 slip ons and SEST. It's only got 700 miles on it so far so I've not dyno'd to get all the power, but feels really strong in the 1850-3000rpm range. The 255 cams are perfect for my riding style.

Head work would mean probably different cams that work better at a higher rpm range yet I'd lose a little bit of the low end where I like to be.

103" is a great build and is bullet proof. For me, the 110 just wasn't worth the extra dough for arguably just little more power. 110 bragging rights would've been nice though...

Lots of options out there for motor builds...mostly you just need to know what you want outta the scoot..power on early or power on later...both are great..but for me I like TQ...NOW...

no offense to any one..but how can people say the build is bullet proof & they would recomend a build such as this...when one guy is breaking in his build & does not even know what it can do & the other guy has 700 miles in a build...& says it is bullet proof...like i said no offense..but lets here from some guys that have some miles on them bikes with the builds...

103 Stage II w/ SE 255's...12,000 miles in 11 months. Bullet proof. I love the package. All three prior bikes had headwork, after market gear drive cams, high compression, etc etc etc....this one is the most reliable and is a blast to ride. That work for ya?

9000+ km on my Stage II 103. No problems so far -- lots of power for me, only issue is the kit pipes are a bit quiet. I think I can fix that one :-)

Bunch of pikers

29,500 on the odometer, 17,500 on my 120" HQ build and bullet proof - most likely. No problems so far. We can say bullet proof when they pass the 50k mark.

And to recommend the build based on break in miles, just a bit premature.

I am very pleased with my 103 build. It is very strong and I had great results with the tune. I would like to do a 120 someday but for now I am very pleased.
