Default Jacked prices at local dealership

Went to my dealer today to use up a small balance on a gift card. Was interested in Live to Ride timer cover, derby cover and AC cover. Prices didn't seem right on packaging so I went to their 2008 accessory catalog. Dealer's pricing was marked up above catalog on product an additional dollar on the timer and AC cover and 2 dollars on the derby cover.

I'm not sure how long this has been going on. Interesting. More power to the online dealers.

I would have figured the Live to Ride stuff would have been in the bargain bin left over from a decade or so ago.

I had the same thing happen at this crappy dealer we have here in Boise. What a bunch of jerks, I will definatly be ordering more from Zanotti motors.
You would think in bad financial times the dealer would wise up and not rip customers off!!!!!!!!

Palm Beach Harley is having a HUGE sale on Sunday. 20% off (in stock) merchandise. I don't have the heart to tell them that we get that 365 days/year.
How can a dealer who has invested millions in a store be so stupid?

How are they stupid? I'd think the people that are actually buying the products at the higher prices would be the stupid ones. Now if they dealer never sells anything.....

Understand............but remember, there was a time in our lives that we didn't know about the 20% off online dealers, either. The only time I have ever paid retail, was when traveling, and buying a dealer t-shirt.

No doubt! I've bought stuff at the local dealers, nothing at inflated prices (from the catalog at least).

I know for a fact that there has been at least 1 price increase by the MOCO on P/A since the 2008 catalog came out. Maybe more.
I think you would be hard pressed to find anything that the price hasn't gone up on over the past 6-8 months.

20% off is kind disceiving because they take back 6 or 7% for Shipping and Handling, but I'll take 13% off anyday.
