Default Brake Fluid Handling Ideas

Got a new Classic coming. Going to put on chrome hand controls and chrome lowers. Can you guys give me some ideas on how to go about protecting the paint from the glycol based fluid? On my 97 FLHRI, I always manage to get the fluid spilled on something when I'm working on her.

Cover the tank with a thick blanket and a sheet on top of that, and be careful...

If you remove the brake line at the caliper and drain the fluid you will have less to deal with when you remove the master cylinder. The blanket is a good idea. Also have a bunch of clean rags and wipe any up immediately.

Lastly, I swear by Speedbleeder. Google them and you'll learn all you need to know. Or do a search here on the forum.

remove the master cyl from the bike and open it up in a 5gal bucket next to the bike...biggest amount gone... now use some might and take the line off. Install new.
I would still cover the tank/fender for adding and bleeding
