Default Odd Squeaking/Chirping sound when letting off throttle

I took the bike in last week to get a new front tire and it was determined that my front motor mount was toast. Had that replaced as well. Two days later I jumped on the bike to go to work and the rear was flat. Took it to the dealer that evening and had a new rear tire put on. The bike started to make an odd chirping sound (From the front of the motor) when the throttle is released. It is not an extended squeak, it is just a quick chirp type sound when the throttle is released at higher RPM's. I did check the throttle cable and saw nothing out of the norm. It does not make the noise when accelerating or when in neutral reving the motor. It is odd. I would have figured if it were something with the motor mount it would make the sound while either moving or sitting still. I checked the belt adjustment just in case. It seemed a little loose so I tensioned that up, but the squeak/chirp is still there. Any thoughts ideas where this sound is coming from?? Thanks in advance.

The two places I have found odd rattles and noises coming from were (1) The washer under the compensater nut (nut was loose, washer was rattling...reverb-ed all through the bike = very hard to pinpoint.) and (2) cam chain tensioners were worn out and the chain was running partly on the metal "prong" of the tensioner shoe. That noise sounded more like a sewing machine and got louder and Louder and LOUDER.

Give the belt a good wash with fresh water. I've had mine chirp when I do a lot of riding in dry dusty conditions.

The odd chirp I found on mine was the rubber gromet on the rear exhaust hanger.Found out later that was a known deal, they wear out quite often.

+1 on the rubber mount on top, rear of pipe where it mounts to the bike. One way to ck it is when it is chirping, spray them with some type of lube, if it stops replace it. The fact that you just had a back tire replaced is probably a tip off, alot of techs remove the slip ons to take back wheel off.

Sounds to me like they left your drive belt too loose.

+1 on the loose belt. If it chirps when you let of the throtle or gets wet it is definately loose. Check that before your get into anything else.

I get the same noise when riding a passenger. Goes away when by myself. Just haven't taken the time to troubleshoot but suspect the belt.

Update. Steamcleaned motor throughly. Checked belt tension again (To manual specs without using tool, first belt drive bike I have owned). Checked the exhaust hangers and they are good. Once I got all the above done took it for a spin. Ran it like a raped ape up and down through the gears and the sound is gone except an faint intermitent squeak when letting off the throttle. Thanks for the help. I am happy with the outcome.
