Default Dirty 9 spoke wheels

I read another post about bike polishes and thought I would ask here. Is there a product that will clean the stock 9 spokes? I have tired soap and water and it only takes some of the dirt off, and if I use a spray wheel cleaner, it takes the paint and most (not all) of the dirt off. I am not one to clean the wheels every weekend so we can throw that suggestion out the window. Is there an easy to use cleaner that will take the heavy dirt off without harming the black paint or do I need to just chrome the wheels and make my life easy.

Thanks in advance

Simple Green is the least expensive and hard to beat. Can use on engine, trans etc.

Be careful with Simple green. In full strength, it can be very hard on aluminum.

Take em off this winter and get em chromed. Both wheels for $550, ChromeProsPlating in Corpus, TX did mine. One of the best things I've done. Spray some simple green on and rinse em off. DONE!

S100, spray on and hose off, cleans the wheel and no damage.
You will have to polish out the aluminum wheel ring once in awhile.
no getting away from that.

A Mother's Polishing Ball is good for spokes.

It also works great on the wheel ring. Much easier then using your finger.
