I don't remember if that was the exact one that I had for a short time but I did get one of those ebay shorties. I hated it, beat me to death. Bought a CV recurved and could not be happier after 25k miles. IMHO spend the extra $$ and get a CV with Recurve. Like I said, don't want to diss the ebay seller cuz I really don't remember who I got it from. My 0.02.

For a cheap shield try this out Fast Aire
http://www.fastaire.com/windshields.html

same shield $24

I personally prefer a Clearview with Recurve
http://clearviewshields.com/shop/index.php

or for when I need mega coverage the custom flht windshields
http://www.customflhtwindshields.net/index.html

I have both and switch back and forth.

I bought a cheap sheild off ebay and it worked fine. It was not from that seller, but it was a flat piece of plastic. The sheild you are looking at is lexan, it won't break, not sure if mine was. I have since gone to a clearview recurve and love it. Very good quality, but 3 times the price.

Bottom line....that sheild will work fine if you don't want to spend more.

I just went back and read the auction again. The 6" would not be tall enough for me. I run an 8".

My Ultra has the 6" dark smoke on it now from this guy. They ship it flat, not pre-curved. For the money - good deal. My brother-in-law bought the 8" but he's 6' 4", I'm 5' 10".

I have a couple from this company that Peculierboy mentions. A 14" flat-top, although not particularly attractive in blocks cold wind like a nobodies business and it the best rain screen I have used, I stay reasonably dry. I put it on this time of year. It is however a barn door and will make itself known in a stiff wind. I bought it in light bronze, but in hindsight would have gotten clear, tougher to see through at night. The second one is an 8" half-moon in dark tint, summer use, I love it. A little wider than normal, and it does keep the wind noise down around the speakers. At 6"1 it buffets the wind about 1 inch over the top of my head, perfect as far as I'm concerned. I personally would never go any lower than and 8".

For what they cost you can buy one for any type of riding and switch it over in monutes.
