Muffler Clamp - V&H Basic Slip Ons
I installed some V&H basic slip ons and I have one muffler that I can reach down and move with two hands because the muffler clamp does not seem to be on tight enough. I have cranked this thing down and I don't think I can tighten it any tighter. Any suggestions?

I have V&H Ovals and the left side had some free play (up & down) due to the width of the rubber spacer being a little too short which allowed that muffler to move up and down. There was a thread on the forum that addressed this as others had a similar problem. I put a piece of teflon between the rubber spacer and the top of the metal clamp... problem solved.

do you have an up and down movement or can you
psychically twist the the muffler?
If you can twist the muffler sh*t can the clamps and use the oe
harley clamp#65283-94 and torque it down with a 1/2" ratchet.
If it is fact a up and down movement try squeezing the bracket under the
saddlebag.

Yeah the muffler twists...no up and down movement. I cranked the ever loving **** out of it last night and I thought I had it. Then I ran it to work this morning and the same old crap.
When I installed them, I thought, "damn the clamps look like they won't work for ****" and almost left the OEM clamps on. I freaking did not like a moron.
Funny thing is the right side is on there tight. No movement whatsoever even when I really try. That left side is like there is no damn clamp on it at all.
I'm going to run down to the dealership today and see about getting a new set.
