Default 08 UC quit on me

Was on a real short ride, like 15 miles to a lake where I stopped an shut off my bike. 10 minutes later she would not start. Cranked well but no fire!! Tried for a few minutes and figured I'd run down the battery so rode home on friends bike and got my trailer. Got back to bike an hour later and guess what. Started right up. Only mods are Exhaust and PC. Bikes has 4000 problem free miles till then. Any thoughts?

Did you check for a diagnostic trouble code? There's plenty of info on this site about checking trouble codes; I suggest that you do a search of the TSM/TSSM Trouble codes.

Have you had the fuel canisters recall done yet?

Kinda sounds like that could be the culprit.

Default 10-1 it's the PC

Same exact thing happened to my buddies bike 2 weekends ago, shutdown the bike for gas, went to start it back up and no go,almost 1 hour to the minute she fired right up,his PC was only 3 months old,he called them and they had him send it to their shop for testing,2 weeks later they sent him a new PC and the rest is history...

Sounds like the fuel filter cannister is cracked. Same thing happened to me with 450 miles on my 08 Ultra except I was stranded on the interstate 125 miles from the house.

Hmmm this type of thing happened to me also. Turn on ignition with switch in the run position, heard a faint whine but not as loud as the fuel pump should be. Messed around with fuses and connections till it started. Figured it was a loose connector. Happened twice several weeks apart. Then I had the cannister recall done and a week later same thing. Sent it to the dealer and they found the connection at teh fuel filler neck going to the fuel pump was corroded! The bike was only a few months old and garaged! Well tehy cleaned and greased the connections and so far so good! Knock on wood...OWWW!
