Default RE: Tallboy seat

I put the tallboy seat on my ultra last year. I'm 6'1" and I found the seat to add a lot of leg room. I do sit taller and back, but for me the reach is about 3/4" too far for a long day of riding. I am considering going to either a zeppelin air seat or the Mustang regal. I think if you are taller or have a longer reach you will find the seat to be very comfortable. The only other drawback is if you ride 2 up a lot. On the glides the penalty is less room for your passenger. I ended up having to add a tour pack relocator kit to keep it comfortable.

6'3", long legs and the Sundowner is perfect, low and wide, good support and comfort for 1 or 2 up. Great with the backrest! Tried a Tallboy, too high and bulky/ugly looking.

Bountyhunter, does the sundowner move you back further than stock? Also has anyone done the floorboard relocation. Thanks

Sundowner is lower than stock with a deep bucket, just a better designed seat. Any further back and you would be on the passenger deck. Try a set of cruisearms on the boards, or if you are tall, I would highly recommend crash bar mounted cruiseboards, ultimate in comfort. Both Kuryakyn.

6'5" and the Tall boy works great on both my RK Custom and my new SG.

I got the tallbot when I bought the bike. Then tried 2 Mustang seats and am now back to the tallboy. Im 6'5" and it works well for me. I have just had a gel pack implanted in it and its very comfy now. Also relocated the tourpak to the rear an inch and a quarter, so the trip to Laughlin should be great.
