Rode some twisties today and really noticed a major improvement in the handling.

Was searching for a way to describe the way the bike handled before the install all day and finally came up with this analogy: It was like driving a Hook and Ladder Firetruck.

The front of my bike would enter a curve at speed and the rear end felt like it was coming around slightly. Not tracking true to the front wheel's path.

Not anymore. Very confident in the curves now.

Pre-2009 and having the same feeling? Get one of the stabilizing systems. It will make a difference.

Great ride review. You described the feeling perfectly . . . planted.

I chose the TWR because of my center stand. All of the stabilizers out there do the same thing which is something HD addressed this year with the new frame and engine mounts.

In my opinion, all the touring bikes should have some kind of rear stabilizer installed. BTW, check out what Tracy did: Chrome stabilizer

As I said before, I ordered the True Track Sunday. It was here Wed. I installed it this afternoon, and as advertised, took only about 15 minutes, very easy. We are headed to Baytown for a Top Fuel Harley Shootout at the dragstrip, tommarrow. There is several different riding conditions on the way, so I'll be able to check it out completely. Any of you in the area, come by the Derryberry Top Fuel pit, and you can look at it on the bike, if you have never seen one before. If it performs as good as it looks, it will be great.
I was impressed with the fit and finish. In this day and time, when you but something, sometimes it doesn't fit as well as it should, doesn't look as good as it should and doesn't live up to it's advertised performance. We'll see how it performs. Al

Had mine on for 3 years. It work very well. As an engineer myself I beleive it is well made and an adequate design.

I looked into the Ride St8, TWR, Bagger Brace and on and on. All work on the same principal, and I do think all will make an improvement. I went with the True Trac due to ease of installation and also decision was easy as I did not plan to install a center stand. I am completely satisfied, rear of bike now feels planted. I am not steering anyone towards True Trac or away from others as I have not heard a bad thing about any of them or heard of any failures. True Trac just worked for me.

With the True Track can you still use a standard floor jack or does the jack lift on the TT? If so is this OK?

Thanks in advance

Just beware, if you have a lowered bike it may scrape. I ride agressive in the curves and my bike is lowered. I replaced the pivot shaft bushings in my old FLT and still had the wallow.

It is a great product and been on my FLHT for 4 years and it is a solid, firm ride.

As an update, I went out for the weekend on the E-glide (07). FM 565 between Anahuc and Liberty, TX has some moderate curves (1500 to 2000 ft radius') I could enter curves at 55 and exit the curves at 70, throttling up through the curves. This was not a good thing to do before. The bike is a whole lot more nimble now, and the only limitations I have are the tires.
After looking at my wifes Sportster, I've come to the conclusion that anything is better than nothing, and I bought the True Track as a first choice. I'm sure the others perform as well.
