A buddy of mine has one the "venom" he bought used.Man that thing is BAD FAST.I can't keep up even on the twisties. He has had alot of little crap like master cylinder leaks fork seals crap like that but he got a good deal and says"It's nice to look at and gets alot of attention but it's not practical,I'll keep it for a few years then I'll get a bagger or something.
Those custom motorcycles appeal to a small audience that seem to like the bling and the unpredictability of those type bikes. Big Dog motorcycles are made here locally and I don't know a soul who owns one and I know lots of motorcycle enthusiasts. A BB chopper from Kansas City showed up at a local bike gathering and it got a lot attention, or I should say the the rider did as she was super attractive. I'll stick with the convention of Harley for dependability and the mystic of the ages.
