Thumbs up Electro glo light rails??? Pics, Experience

Saw a really nice ultra with the light rails on it. I'm interested, but have only seen it once on a bike. Anyone have any pics? Have you installed it? I'm afraid I've used the electrical connector already for my fairing. Any ideas and pics will be appreciated.

Don't have any handy pics, but I've had the light rails on my 2000 eglide since it was new. I think they look good, and they still work fine. I'll see if I can dig up a pic. BTW, even if you've used the connector, finding another place to hook up shouldn't be difficult.

Mine have been on since new. No problems and look pretty cool at night. I also have the floorboard Glo lights too.

I have them, they look good, they are of a cheap construction. I got mine free, buying and selling a "package " of goods. Again, they look sweet at night, but I wouldn't pay $200.00 for a set new, let alone $500.00. Just depends on your likes and dislikes.

I have had mine for 3 years on my Ultra. During daylight hours, the LED lights can't be seen because they glow so dimly. At night, they really are good looking with the soft glow effect and they make me more visible to anyone which is the reason I love them. They do plug into the ACC power plug under the seat. I also had an air seat that used the same power plug, Harley sells a "Y" connector for the plug to allow plugging in 2 devices to the ACC plug.

Cool light rails!

at one time I also got the hots for this type of lighting setup for my dresser. Almost bought a set, till I saw a friend of mine who had a set of these things on his dresser. first of all he had quite a bit of mileage, something like 10 or 15,000 miles, with these lights installed. The one thing that I noticed right off, was the amount of stress fractures on the entire set. Just about every square inch light stress fractures! They still worked quite well, but I thought the price for the out lay of these things, was way too high. In other words it was an awful lot of money spent, for something that did not wear too well. I like their appearance, but I would never pay the price.

I had a set on my 97 Ultra for 65,000 miles no problems with cracking, discoloring or operation problems. Have a set on my 05 and they are the same no problems at all.
