I fill my to the top manually while sitting on the bike. I'd be scared to use the auto on a bike.

Get off the bike to fuel. If you spill it in your lap and have an ignition source you are gone.

I've had the damn things not 'click off' when I've been filling the car! What a mess! I'm sure as hell not taking that chance with the bike. Anybody using one of those 'fill and go' gadgets that Harley sells? If so, how's that working out?

I fill slowly by hand, hate those little specks of gas hitting my tank and ruining my wax job. I sit there with a rag around the filler attempting to catch any stray droplets. Is that ****? Naw......

has anyone tried the mccuff? does that help when filling up? unfortunately we only have the 5 gallon tank and every little bit counts.

I fuel slow. Always on the side stand as mentioned. It will leak out of the drain otherwise.
