Default fork oil change on 03 ultra

Hello, I am wanting to change the fork oil on a 03 ultra without taking everything apart. This bike has a cartridge in the left fork. Can anyone give me any ideas on this. Thanks Greg

as far as i know the cartridge prevents you from filling from the top so a disassembly will be required sorry bro!

It also requires several special tools to do the job. If you are going to remove the front end, might as well do both forks with new seals. I am still debating doing this myself, or just take to indy. Got a quote of about $200. Seems reasonable for the amount of work involved.

Sounds as if it's a good time to put a chrome front end on.

I just did my '05 Ultra last week. I was quoted 3 hours labor to change the fork oil. Being the cheapo I am I pulled it apart and took the left leg in and let them change the oil. $28. The manual talks about assembly/disassembly but not really what to do to just change the oil on the cartridge side. Next time I may pull out the cartridge and go back to a spring.

Good luck.
