Hi all,
Im in the process of buying all painted parts from an 08 but only need a few of them. Unfortunately I need a gas tank and I know the 6gal. 08 will not fit on a 07. Just wondering if anyone has heard or seen someone make this work somehow?

They do not retrofit.

 

your gonna need a lot of parts to even try to make it work.

seat
fuel pump assembly (that they changed as well as the throttle body in 08 which im sure work together some how)
dash
mounting under the seat
mounting on frame
im sure the list goes on

 

Ah looked at the same idea fer mah '07 UC, but it's simply not possible - WAY too many changes ta do it. IMO, you'd be better off starting from scratch with a new (custom) tank if ya want the extra capacity. Havin' said that, if anyone knows someone makin' such a tank, ah'd love ta know - the extry gallon would be nice when touring!
