Default Loose Lower Fairing Vent Doors

When I open the lower fairing vent doors, they vibrate shut. And if I close the vent doors they vibrate open. Anyone know if there is a way to adjust the lower vent doors, so when I set them they will stay put? Thanks.

This may sound obvious, but did you try tightening the nuts on the hinges? Mine would slowly close too until I tightened the nuts. Now they stay put.

As stated just tighten the bolt and nut they pivot on till they move when you move them but stay put otherwise.

Yeah, same here. Take the flap off the top compartment and you should be able to see the nut to tighten them up. Just be real careful, it looks like it could be over tightened and break off real easy.

What everybody else is saying... Doesn't take much tightening to get them to tight.

On my '05 Ultra, I ended up taking the doors off, because one was broken. I leave the lowers on year round, and it has worked out well. I get the breeze in the summer, and still adequate protection in the winter.

Ride Safe.

I found mine do not vibrate shut, my boots were moving them. If they are opening you may need to tighten them like everyone else said.

i had my vents off over the winter sent them out to be chromed they use a small piece of rubber hose to act as a spring there is a carriage bolt and a lock nut so be careful no to over tighten or you could strip the square hole out in the plastic
