Here's what I found on those PN's:

Product ID: 73243-09
BULB HOUSING ASY,HARDENED, HDI
List Price: $47.35

Product ID: 73244-09
HEADLAMP ASY,DUAL/HDI
List Price: $243.00

SOOOOO....if I need those items to complete this simple bezel replacement, all of a sudden this is looking like a lot higher dollar project than I originally thought. If anyone can confirm or elaborate it would be appreciated.

I know at least one forum member posted that he used 3M headlight protection film on his standard bulbs after he took the plastic shield off and felt protected enough from rocks, sand pitting, etc. Might be the way to go.

Try cleaning bugs off the pre-09' lenses, bugs off, scratches on.
You will need to buff with windshield compound to remove the scratches.
Ask me how I Know?
Change both trim and lenses, unless it's a show bike.

The question is for the RG 09' bikes, does it have the harden lenses stock?
