So, Do you remap every time you take the baffles out? There is a difference.

riteowaysmcvp,

I leave my baffels in, I like the sound as it is. But theroreticly if your fuel system is a closed loop, live fuel system you woln't have too for just changing the baffels. Thats taking into accouant the fact that you already upgraded from the factory fuel control when you did the slip-on's to begin with.

What is your reason for second guessing the Rineharts? What is the general sound characteristic of th Vand H big shots? are they deep... or more of a "hammering sound"?
I ask because I was going to buy them.. instead I got a good price on Roadburner, true duals "drag pros" same style as the "Big Shots" with the heat shield, welded on so pipe and shield are 1-piece 2-3/4" with stepped header
I am not really happy with the sound as it has a "hammering" quality with the baffles supplied it was very loud, I added "Hard Kore" baffles from Smartpartz .com its somewhat quieter, but still not deeep

I have the BUB 7's on my '08 RK. They look great, went on easy, and are well made. Everyone loves the sound, some of the old school guys I ride with thought they sounded great and wanted to know what brand they were. Very deep rumble, sounds great when you really get on it, and doesn't drive me nuts on long rides.

I have the Rineharts and real pleased with both performance and sound. Dyno measured +12HP after the stage 1 install. See the attached pics.

SOCAL PAPPY is right. Head out to a bike night and listen up. You will find a sound you will like.
