Default Seat Dilemma

Has anyone put a 08 Electra Glide seat on a 08 Street glide? I am wondering how it will change the rider position. I tried a Sundowner, but due to a tailbone nerve condition it had to go back. Seems the slot in the stock seats is just what I need. I don't have a problem with the stock FLHX seat, just trying to make the wife happy.

I did.
It moves you a bit forward, and trust me, makes the wife VERY happy! It's more comfortable riding two up on the Ultra seat than the stocker, using the passenger backrest, I felt 'crowded', and it was not good on my tailbone either. Riding solo is fine as well, I've put in 2 or 3 450 mile days solo and a 350 day 2-up and we both felt fine on each ride. Since then, I have sent out the Ultra seat to Mean City Cycles for a re-do, and it is even better! I had it recut for my height/weight and the Memory Foam option. Whipped out a 500 mile day ride a week ago and have now decided I will probably never use my stock FLHX seat again....

I put a Road Glide seat on the FLHX. The RG seat raises you up a bit, but doesn't move you closer to the bars. It also has a wider and more padded passenger area. I have only ridden on the new seat for a short while and I think I am going to enjoy the new found comfort.

I just put an electraglide seat on my '08 streetglide. The seat is more comfortable. As others stated it moved me up and forward a good bit.The new position made my faceshield rattle so I installed a 10'' halfmoon windshield, much better.Riding to work and back the bike handled different but not bad. The first time I got on a twisty road I felt a big diff. in the nimbleness of the bike. Still not bad, just not as sharp as it was.I still haven't riden with the wife yet but I expect a dramatic change in handling characteristics.
