It will be much louder and you will decrease your backpressure resulting in a loss of low end torque.

More Info would be a good thing..
Air Kit done?
Fuel Management System?
What Samson Slip-Ons are installed?
State you live in?

More info will get you more answers to your question\s...

If you have the stock air cleaner you should be fine. Without baffles you will lose performance and annoy the **** outta your neighbors. I am a moderate noise guy and I find the uber loud pipes irritating and I wonder about guys who go straight pipes and no baffles. I mean, what are you trying to say with that?

Yes, you'll certainly give up the bottom end doing what you describe. I agree with Mars on the noise issue. A sweet sounding bike doesn't have to burst ear drums and **** off the neighbors. The more we police ourselves, the less we have to worry about others doing it for us... My $.02.

Yup. You will mess up your bike. Any change to your intake or exhaust changes your fuel/air mixtures. Depending upon the bike, and modifications, the problem could range from nearly non-existent to severe. Probably what you will notice is a deceleration backfiring and/or a noticable drop in torque.

Like mentioned above, more details about your ride will result in more specific responses.

It will affect your EFI system especially the O2 sensors or it might not. You will not see a great increase in performance, just more noise. Why buy Sampson slip-ons and then f-up the baffles when you could have bought a different type anyhow? I have drag pipes on my XL and kick myself for not getting something better (and tunable) because I have no back pressure or resonance pulse and it costs me in HP. Drags were cheap though but now I'm stuck with them for awhile on my broke-student salary.
