That's just f'ed up. $400 !?!? Sounds like he's related to the judge. Time for the family to get some outside help and put his dumb a$$ behind bars where he belongs. Prayers to family and friends, hoist a brew for the rider on my next ride.

Thursday, October 16, 2008

Martinez

Martinez

A motorcyclist died Wednesday morning after a collision in North Charleston.

The motorcycle was traveling on Aviation Avenue about 7:15 a.m. and struck a pickup truck that came from Fain Street, said North Charleston police Lt. Scott Deckard. The motorcyclist, Frank Bales, 50, of Ridgeville, suffered blunt-force trauma and died, Charleston County Deputy Coroner Brittney Wofford said. She said Bales was wearing his helmet.

Abel Martinez-Martinez, 28, of North Charleston, who drove the pickup truck, is charged with disregarding a traffic control device and having no South Carolina driver's license, third offense, Deckard said. Martinez-Martinez's total bond was set at $474, and he remained at the Charleston County jail late Wednesday.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your buddy. Things like this are hard to explain and the senseless loss of a life by a law-breaking guy like that is unforgiveable.

I'd like to make a donation. Let me know if there is a bank account where I can send some money for his family.

You know I dont want to sound like a *** here, but I cant help thinking about the family of the scum bag who ran the red light. I aint saying they are going through as much grief as your coworkers family, but it MUST be causing some sadness and problems for them as well. As for the guy driving the truck.....I would hope he gets life in prison...no hope for parole....and he will have to serve his sentence in solitary confinement.

I can tell this much...Here in West Virginia, We'd find that ol' boy and it would cost him a hell of a lot more than 400 $$. Nuff said!!!

I'm sorry to say that he probably won't get any prison time. The first 2 offences won't be allowed in court. If he is here illegally, he will be deported only to return in a couple of years when the smoke clears. Good lawyers work wonders.
