The parts alone would cost more than the MSRP of a CVO bike. Never mind the labor. Check the price of parts on a 110" motor and custom paint set. The HD CVO website lists all of the parts on each CVO bike.

here is a true story, I was at a bike show and entered my bike, the 09 cvo rg parked right next to my bike, I thought oh ****, thats sharp looking, I'm gonna lose, it was peoples choice, long story short throughout the day I had more pics taken of my bike and actually took 1st place, everybody knew I had more custom work done to my bike and the rg was just stock. I'll sell my bike which took 1st place for $19,000 less then what the cvo rg sells for and I only have 7000 miles on it. below is a pic at the end of the day. the cvo is beautiful but not unique

LOL Benji!
That bike is finished.
I get bored easily.
Need another to bling out.

Also, why just the Army?
Why not an Armed Forces thing?
Cover all the branches.

Was on another forum and from the pics of these CVO Road Glides it looks like it is the rich guys toy of choice this year. Almost every one I saw the owner looked like a suit n tie guy executive and others were sitting in front of fancy houses parked next to the Lexus or Benz. Not trying to label or stereotype. Just an observation. Good thing about it is rich guys get bored with their toys alot quicker than the working class. Shouldn't be hard to find a garage kept CVO RG in a year or two with a few thousand (or less) miles for a real good price.

Those are the major parts there are a few screw and brackets and what nots but that is about 90% of it and by my figures it is $1080.90, so I missed by $80. Like I said someday I will do it, has always been my plan.

With a new "standard" pearl black '09 Road Glide sitting in my garage I am liking this line of thought of adding some CVO-type parts to customize the bike. I was thinking smaller scale than re-doing the whole rear end though. From the pics I have seen of the CVO RG I like the mirrors, windscreen, front light enclosure w/o the plastic cover, shorty antenna, grips, etc. Does anyone know if these parts are available from HD for general purchase? If anyone has PN's like listed above it would be most appreciated.

Then you would need the bags, the complete box - lids. The only way to get the lowers from HD.
How do you think that tail would fit a 07 bike ???

Depends on how badly you really want one. If it's really important to you grab a phone & Harley's list of dealers. Someone will have one, & the farther away, the better. Makes for a great ride home on a new bike................
