Default Need New Bars on 2007 Road King Classic

I'm trying to see what my options for new bars are without replacing the factory lines/cables. The stealership is telling me that I must replace the brake line with ANY bar change. What are y'all running?

Back when I was researching bars a lot of people swore by the Heritage bars for comfort, price, and the fact that you don't have to change cables. All did say though that the angle in the brake line needed to be massaged a bit.

But, you might not like the bars. Have the dealr hold them on a RK while you sit on it. They were too narrow for me, but like I said others love them. They're only about $50 for the chrome ones.

I put 16s on mine, but some of my write up on doing a bar swap might help when you get to doing it.

I have the HD fat bars for the Road King on my 07 classic... I did change the lines to braided lines and had my wires run inside the bars when I put them on but they have the same geometry as the stock bars.

It took me probably 6 mo. to figure out what I wanted. When finally I decided up was most comfortable for me, then it was How far? I decided on Wild 1's 14" Chubby's ( not too tall/ not too short and couldn't be happier. I'm 6'1 and have a Sundowner seat ( it does make a diff.)

I have HD high bars on my road king standard. Existing cables fit fine.

I'm a short guy and went with the HD Reach bars, ran the wires inside with the harness adapter kit but didn't have to change the lines or cables.

Default Rk bar replacement

I put the Heritage style bar on my 08 RKC last month and really like them. No cable chages required and no more pain when I ride.

Wild 1 518's, Didn't have to change a thing. I have a Road King Custom, so not sure if the length of cables are the same on a classic.
