My 07 StreetGlide got 47.12 mpg on my weekend trip to Dallas, Texas. I was getting 190-195 miles before the gas gauge light would come on. I was also cruising around 70-75 the whole way down. It was 520 miles each direction. Cost me $68.15 in fuel round trip!!!
My StreetGlide is a 103" with mild port work on the heads, Andrews 37H cams, Rinehart true duals, K&N air, and SERT.
Riding 2-up a couple weekends ago, I got 41mpg. There was a lot of hilss and turns, so no steady speeds on that trip.

 

I seem to get between 40 and 42. 42.5 is best for me on a lot of highway with very few stops. Get the 40 number riding county roads where you ride a couple miles and then a stop sign. Have a 2008 EGS. No engine/fuel/air mods. Do have Rush slipons with a 1.5 inch baffle.

 

I get on average about 42 mpg. A stock bike with 13k miles.

 

08'FLHX - Average 40-43 in mostly highway riding.

 

08 R/G with 10k miles, am getting 44 to 46 per gallon....
mostly riding 2 up and above posted speed limit....

Just over 2k on the 08 RG , commute to werk 40 miles round trip , never outta 4th , avg about 38 .. Highway is 42 or so ..

My carbed sharkies never got over 45 , actually they were real close to this one 38-43 usually , regardless of how I rode ..

 

09 SG, 1100 miles and getting 45 MPG commuting (some stop and go, most at 55-60 in a 45 zone). Long ride at 65-70 I got 46. Just switched to Syn3 today...5th gear is quieter and I'm hoping to see even better economy.

On a fairly conservatively run (50% under 55 - 50% 55-70) road trip yesterday from the 700 mile mark to the 890 mark I put in 4.11 gallons. Works out to be around 46mpg. Don't really care about gas mileage but under the 1000 mile mark on bike and still with regular oil I was pretty pleased.

 

I dont really care either , as long as I can get 38 or so on the low end all is well , if it picks up a few mpg as it breaks in that'll be fine , if not , that's OK too ..
