My old bike 04 Road King, which is now my wifes, runs 41 mpg and is never over 3900 rpms when she rides it. I would get the same with it when I used to rode it and often went over 3900 Its stock with slip ons and aftermarket air cleaner.

'08 UC all stock mostly one up:

city (mostly 3rd and 4th gear 35 to 50 mph) - 34 to 37 mpg's
highway (mostly 5th 65 to 70 mph) - 40 to 42 mpg's

The last longer/highway ride I checked ended up with

209 miles @ 4.73 gallons = ~44 mpg

For a 103" I'm pretty happy with those numbers.

Granted, around town goosin' it from light to light my mileage sucks, but I don't really care about that. It's more about appeasing the seat-0-meter when I'm doing that, no so much about the pocket book.

For my '07 UC with Rinehart TD's, stage 1 ac, SERT, for the 18 mos I had the bike before the accident, I was getting:

City/Hwy (around town): 46.3

Pure Hwy (road trips, above 65/70): 53.6

Had one road trip home from Phoenix where I got 59.25 mpg avg all the way home...

'06 Ultra, basic stage 1, SE pipes, mostly 2 up. 33-40 depending on the usual things. Aggressive starts, city driving, lots of stops and goes is the bottom end. Straight highway 65-75 MPH cruising is the top end.

The last tank was a combination of back roads in the mountains and highway with a passenger. I got 40 MPG. I imagine solo and all highway I would do a little better.

No,
I didn't get the bike for the milage, but it was a consideration.
Love the bike, but being off a bike for over 5 years and now riding a dresser my riding technique has to change.
My last bike was a smaller Metric cruiser..
Did like the fact I could ride 2 up in the So. Cal. Santa Ana winds without being pushed around.

Default Fuel Mileage

I just rode my 09 Ultra with 2000 miles 744 miles to Daytona Beach for Biketoberfest and got an average of 37.5. We rode about 75-80 all the way. I weight 215 and had about 50 lbs of cargo. So much for 54 mpg but boy what a good ride....!!!
