Stock, my '04 Road Glide would get 40 to 44 MPG at all times. At 5,000 miles, I added slip ons, a race tuner and stage 1 kit. I've noticed at 60 MPH, I'll still get around 40 MPG. At 70, it's more like 34-36 MPG. At 80 MPH, I'm getting around 32 MPG. I need a six speed.

All the mileages stated are pretty good...one thing is sure, I did not buy this bike because of fuel economy...it is purely for pleasure. The good mileage is just a bonus.

my 09 SG is averaging around 38 with my short commute to work...a little less if im riding hard...worst been 35. On my ride to and from the smokies from MO, we traveled 2 lane blacktop averaging 60 and under and the bike got 50-52 on several tanks. Bike is totally stock and now has a little over 3000 miles. My mileages are very similar to what my 2000 RK delivered.

Default I understand what you are going through

I traded in my '04 Ultra for a '09. My '04 had a Stage 1 kit, Samson Silver Bullet mufflers, K & N air filter, and synthetic oil, it got between 45-52 mpg solo or two up. I know have 2200 miles on my '09 and the best mileage I got was 42 mpg. I haven't done any performance upgrades on it yet. The '09 Ultra is a great bike with the exception of fuel economy, smooth and easy to handle.

Damn...I must be doing something wrong. I have an 08 Ultra, with a PCIII, monster ovals and a AN Big Sucker. I have about 1500miles on it so far....I average around 35mpg and my last 2 tanks were only 33mph. I do ALL freeway driving...mostly in 6th gear. I had a V-Rod that got better gas mileage than my Ultra....hope the mileage gets better with more break-in.

Default Ultra Classic MPG

My 08 got pretty sucky mileage for the first 1000 miles or so - but after that settled in the low 40's - of course I don't baby her - the wife loves that rumble off the line! ;-)
