I have a set of Rinehart True Duals on my 07 RKC that have been on the bike for only 10 months. I was getting a rattle from the left side even after tightening everything up. I took off the end cap and the baffle all but fell out. Now while it did sound good with it out, I don't a)feel like ruining the other muffler and b) have to deal with the noise issue with the local pd. Has anyone else had this problem.

 

My buddy just had this same exact problem with his Rinehart muffler. What he did to fix it was to remove the baffle, and then he made a spacer out of thin metal( like a doughnut ) that he put on the baffle then put the baffle back in the muffler. It was tight as a drum and he no longer has any rattles.

E-mail Rinehart direct. I sent them a message on another subject and they replied in short order. They may have a fix for you.

 

I noticed the same thing recently on the left side as well. I haven't had a chance to look at mine when the mufflers were cool. Thanks for the info, I'll try and call Rhinehart this week.
