What to use for leg protection from cold

Lowers, lined blue jeans, lined chaps. If you don't want to go with lowers, then maybe heated pant liners will help.

The wind is the problem, and of course the temp. So do everything you can to keep the wind off yourself, layering helps. By using my own advice I have ridden down to 15F. My commute to work is at about 60mph so thats about -30F, no problem. I have heated gloves for the hands.(but also have a batwing.)

Assless chaps work for me. I seldom ride in weather that some would call 'cold',
since I am in Florida, but below 50 degrees is chilly to me.
I can not use 'long johns', since the temp. usually increases to at least 70 degrees
sometime during the day. Besides....hard to find a good fitting pair of long johns in daytona beach.
Chaps helps alot.
