Your problem, jcbpa, is you live in, and are trying to use PA's idea of an easy pass system and it SUCKS!
Compared to the systems that are in use in most other states. I have found the way our state does things to be a total waste of time and money.
But, I'll bet if there was a way to get the money directly from your EZpass into some politicians pocket, it would work every time.

Cool EZ pass located in hard bags

the electronic sender works fine inside the hard bags. So thieves cannot see it.

The toll bills are received punctuall: needless to say that it works!!!

Actually my pass is through NYS. My wife has family back there and there is a slight discount on the bridges,

More likely, you aren't tripping the sensor in the ground, which turns on the reader, which scans your EZ-Pass. Complain to the toll facilities, and tell them to INCREASE the sensitivity so your MOTORCYCLE trips the sensor.

Or, you could add a magnet to the bottom of the bike frame, to make your bike APPEAR to be a larger mass of metal (similar to a car), thus tripping the sensor.

I also live in Jersey, and my EZ Pass is owned by The Port Authority of NY & NJ. You can mount it inside one of the saddle bags if you like, but I like to mount it under the seat or under the right side side-cover, inside the fairing, Velcro it to the saddle bag lid. I know when I am in my truck, I just leave the EZ-Pass in the glove box, and the transponder still reads my pass.

When you get your EZ Pass new it comes with a small plastic bag to store it in. This bag has some sort of reflective foil coating. That bag is one of the ONLY places in my truck I have found where the transponder dont get the signal.

I rifde with a few guys that put it inside the bags, but its a pail when it does not work and you have to hand the ez-pass to the patrol person to put next to the reader. I just leave it in my windshield bag and it just works.
