The Road Glide has the best handling. It's awesome on a 300 mile weekend. Rent one for two days and you'll know what I mean. I rented a Road Glide in Phoenix for a 3 day weekend in April 05 and joined the cult. I'm loving my 05 Road Glide. Good Luck.

I think the dual headlights are one of the best features of the RG... the illumination is awesome and if one light goes out, you've got the other as back up. Two plusses, great illumination and better safety.

During the day I run with both lights on HIGH beam. Occasionally it will irritate a driver coming my way, but the good side of that is that I didn't go unnoticed.

Just bought a 2010 Road Glide ... tested them both on the highway, and found the Road Glide was less prone to "turbulance" from a passing truck with that frame-mounted fairing. Besides, ever since I was a kid I've had a thing for dual headlamps.

+1. Love the look plus love the visibility. When riding you are noticed and that can only help keep the rider safe.

heeheeheee.... I can definitely relate to that sentiment!

And they're nice on cars & motorcycles too.

I have an '08 RG and had the same dilemma as you did. Test rode my buddy's '07 EG and the RG at the stealership. The differences for me was the stability on the fairing. The batwing had horrible vibrations at different speeds and the RG was solid throughout. Handling on the RG, once you get used to the weight, is great. On the EG I see why the cops use them, they can turn on a dime at low speeds. The RG fit me better, I'm 6'4", but there are things you can change to make any bike fit you better. My advice, test ride each model and go from there. Hope this works!
