I am not a large guy, so I also kind of wonder if I would look "Out of place" on a RG, you sit so far back from the dash, and windshield..[/quote]

Never thought of how my puny body looks on a RG. Guess I need the wife to take a pic to see if I look ridiculous

I'm also looking at the differences between these 2 bikes, as well as the Electra Glide Classic. My primary use for the bike I buy will be solo commuting to work about 30 miles each way, but I want to be able to ride 2-up with my wife on the weekends and some longer vacation trips.

I keep seeing responses about how the bikes look, but nothing about the ride quality, especially for 2-up riding. With the lower suspension in the rear on the SG, how much is ride quality affected? My wife and I are both about 215 pounds, so how will our weight affect the ride? I know we'll need a better seat if we go for the SG, at this point I'm more worried about suspension.

Any input on this would be appreciated.

I stopped by my local dealership a few days ago. In my opinion the 2010 RG makes the SG look a little dated. Don't get me wrong the SG is still a great looking bike but to me the RG has taken over the cool factor.
From reading the posts it looks like the RG fan club is growing.

If it weren't for the street glide, I'd own a RoadGlide

I had a 2000 Deuce with over 79,000 miles, so I was ready for a touring bike with a fairing and radio. It took me over 2 years to decide between the EG and RG, flip flopping between them. Rented both, and test rode them numerous times. Both great bikes, so you can't go wrong.

I just had more fun riding the Road Glide, so..... I'm VERY happy with my new 2010 FLTRX Road Glide Custom.

I was initally drawn to the Street Glide because it looks too cool. I wanted a touring bike, but the Electra Glide looks too old man. The Street Glide was my choice for looks and the features of a touring machine. After test rides and self debate I choose a Road Glide. I chose it based on better handling and there are too many Street Glides out there. I'm 6'-2" and the cockpit of the Road Glide fit me better. I love it!

The Ultra fit me perfectly but I really prefer the look of the RG. I knew a few changes would get me situated right though- handlbars, windshield, etc.

Nice bike you have there.

I think out of the box the RG is the ugliest thing on the planet. Throw a 21" on it and loose the tall windsheild, strech the bags and it is the sickest looking bike on the planet. I have a SG now but my next bike will be a RG with a little Ghetto treatment.

Are the RG's factory lowered an inch like the SG??
