I had HD 2" pull back bars and hated the wrist angle so I bought the Chubby 575's and who ever calls these things 2" pull back bars must have longer arms than I do.

I like the wrist angle but I have to reach much farther than I used to.

So I solved one problem and created another.

Plus I had to notch out the underneath of the bars to get the clutch and brake housings to clear the wiring harnesses. There was NO way the clamps were gona go around the harness without pinching it big time.

I can't get the housings to slide up all the way to the bar either stretching my hands out even farther so I can't see out of my fairing mirrors.

If they didn't cost me $180, they'd be in the trash.

They are great quality bars just not what I was hoping for, but I guess I'll just live with it for a while.

 

Notch out the bars? You know the wires are supposed to go inside the bar right?

Yea what he said.
I have them on an 08 Eglide, and they provided 2" of pullback and fit excellent when wired internally.

 

I noticed the same thing.
I bought them for the 2" pullback and I am 6' with a 34" sleave lenght.
They just barely come back far enough for me.
Anybody with shorther arms would be a waist of money.

I do like the width of the bars though.
It makes handleing the bike so much easier at slow speeds or crab walking the bike.

...and I loose about 1/3 of the mirrors.

The 575's are made to run all the wires inside the bars and will not work properly if you don't !!! Sell the bars and buy you some Khrome Werks Sweepers+2. Great bars, 1" so you don't run the wires internally on those.

 

I have them on my 07 Ultra & they work great for me. I'm 6'1" and don't seem to be reaching. I did have some 518's on my RKC which I thought were nice quality but did not like the wrist position, the 575's seem to have a more natural wrist position.

 

I am 5-10 and mine are fine. I did rotate them back in the triple tree to move them back and lower them.

Hmm, I have them on my 07 FLHT and did not care for them at first. I guess they just took some getting used to. I am very comfortable with them now. I am 5'8" and have them pushed forward almost touching the lower fairing. I will probably change over to Cyclesmiths' next year.
