I have sensitive ears but wanted more sound from my glide. I went with Rush 1.75" pipes. Loud enough to hear the pipes with my ear plugs in for longer trips and not so loud to bother my ears without ear plus in around town. It is a little harder to hear the radio over the pipes with out the plugs. But with plugs the radio comes thru good. A nice deep rumble. Doesn't even bother the girlfriend. I love them. 2.0's might be to loud for me but I almost blew out my left ear drum a few years ago, The wind noise with a helmet is enough to make me use the plugs alot.

Well, here goes. I bought my 08 SG and at the time of purchase I added the 2.0 Rush Slip-Ons. Loved the sound, I then added the SE Air Cleaner with the Stage I download. I just got it out of the HD Shop for my 10,000 mile service interval and they said the bike was running way too lean.

I had a lot of decil popping, but thought it was normal due to reading these threads. The dealer said they had been having issues just like mine and the answer was to drop to the 1.5" Baffles, so I did. My bike never pinged. No more decil popping at all. The bike is running a lot cooler. The sound is not as throaty but still has some volume.

Any advice, did I mess up? One dealer says one thing and another says something else. I didn't loose any performance just the sound. It sounds more like a jack hammer now........

I currently have the Vance and Hines Ovals and I will honestly say the Rush sounds a lot better. DEEPER sound.

I had Rush slip ons for my first mufflers on my 07 Fat Boy until I figured out which exhaust I wanted for looks. I put V & H Big Radials on my Fat Boy, but the Rush sounded so much better.

The Rush I had was with the 2 1/4" baffel and they were too loud to me.

Smile Rush vs. V&C

Can't speak for the V&C, but I just put on the Rush slips ons with 2" on right and 1.75" on left with AC and PCIII package from Fuelmoto. The sound is great, very deep and mello, wonderful improvement in performance also.

Well it seem like everyone has talked me into getting the Rush pipes so I ordered them. I will let you know about them when I get them and put them on the bike.

I have the V&H basic slipons on my 95. I love them. Good looks and sound. You won't **** of the neighbors unless you want too. I just wish they made them for the 09's. I'm leaning toward Rinehart slips but I may try the Rush's if they fit.

Just put the VH Monster Ovals on my 09 Glide. They are big! I had VH Ovals on my 03 and they were a little louder than the Monsters. Pipes, Se Hi flow cleaner and the SEST. So far, so good! Deep mellow sound, not ear splitting. My .02...

I have V&H Basic Slip-Ons along with a Fuelpak and S/E air cleaner on my 07 FLHT,it looks and sounds great.I did'nt go for the ovals because I thought they looked a bit too much like a Japanese cruiser. The re-flash has cooled things down too.
By the way, tomorrow is the U.K's inaugural Ride To The Wall,at the National Armed Forces Memorial near Birmingham. Nowhere near as many bikes as your Run To The Wall but hopefully it should be a good turnout with all the U.K's HOG Chapters involved.
